Descriptions

Water vapor is commonly used as heating heat source in wastewater treatment and material concentration processes. Most materials to be treated are aqueous solutions. The steam generated by vaporization of water under heating is collectively referred to as secondary steam. Single-effect evaporation is a process in which material evaporation and concentration are completed by only one evaporator, and the secondary steam is directly discharged after condensation without recycling. Equipment adopting this process is a single-effect (concentration) evaporator.

Characteristic

The single-effect (concentration) evaporator features simple structure, easy operation and low initial equipment investment, with a moderate processing capacity for a single unit.
The secondary steam generated during equipment operation is directly condensed without heat recovery and reuse, so it is mostly applied to small and medium-scale working conditions. It is suitable for highly corrosive materials that require special expensive anti-corrosion materials, or working conditions where contaminated secondary steam cannot be recycled. It is widely applicable to small-batch and intermittent concentration production scenarios.

Application scope

1. Chemical Industry: Concentration of high-salinity wastewater and various chemical feed liquids, organic solvent recovery, purification and concentration of fine chemical mother liquor;
2. Pharmaceutical Industry: Concentration of Chinese herbal extracts, pharmaceutical waste liquid treatment, vacuum concentration of biochemical feed liquid, purification of API;
3. Food Industry: Concentration and purification of fruit & vegetable juice, dairy products, syrup and condiment liquids;
4. Environmental Protection Industry: Evaporation and volume reduction treatment of electroplating wastewater, printing and dyeing wastewater, hazardous waste wastewater and high-concentration laboratory waste liquid;
5. Other Fields: Concentration of biological extracts, mineral processing leachate, volume reduction treatment of saline wastewater in new energy industry.
